State of Statelessness has been selected for screening at the 32nd Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema (Festival international des cinémas d’Asie de Vesoul) in Vesoul, France. The festival — one of Europe’s most prestigious and long-standing platforms for Asian cinema.

A First for Dharamshala: State of Statelessness Screens at Gold Cinema
In May 2025, a small but important milestone took place in Dharamshala. For the first time since Tibetans settled in exile in 1959, a Tibetan-language feature film was released theatrically in the town that has been home to the community for decades. State of Statelessness, produced by Drung Tibetan Filmmakers Collective, screened at Gold Cinema to a fully sold-out audience.

Drung at Transfer Station – The Missing Shadow Exhibition in Cologne, germany
Drung Tibetan Filmmakers Collective participated in Transfer Station – The Missing Shadow, a multidisciplinary exhibition held in Cologne, Germany, as part of the broader Inviting Borders project. The exhibition examined borders as lived experiences and conceptual spaces — sites shaped by movement, memory, identity, and cultural negotiation — through film, installation, and visual art.
Tibet Films Online: A New Digital Home for Exile Tibetan Cinema
In December 2020, a landmark initiative took shape that expanded the digital horizons of Tibetan cinema. Tibet Films Online was launched as an experimental streaming platform dedicated to showcasing films made by Tibetan filmmakers living in exile. The project was organized by Drung Tibetan Filmmakers Collective in collaboration with the Dharamshala International Film Festival (DIFF).
